Homeowners Association
The Jensen Lakes Homeowners Association (JLHOA)
About The JLHOA
The Jensen Lakes Homeowners Association (JLHOA) is a not-for–profit organization that manages and maintains the Jensen Lakes community amenities and activities on behalf of Jensen Lakes property owners.
Melcor builds communities to a higher standard than most developers, including amenities that the City will not agree to maintain.
In Jensen Lakes, this includes things like:
- the lake, beach and beach club
- programming and activities
- entry features and plazas
- feature landscaping and planting
- community gateways and roundabouts
Membership in a community HOA is mandatory for all homeowners, including multi-family. A yearly fee will be collected from each property owner and is secured via an encumbrance registered on title in favour of the HOA.
The fee amount will vary based on the level of lake access a resident enjoys (Standard, Private Lake Access Walkway & Lake Shore).
The JLHOA will initially be managed and administered by Melcor Developments. Melcor has established a Committee of Resident Directors who will work closely with the Melcor Directors to represent the community.
Elections occur at the Annual General Meeting and all property owners are invited to attend and vote on various items including the election of the Resident Directors.
